《辐射及应用》是针对非核工程本科生的自然科学类通识课程。围绕辐射基础、防护和应用三个方面，培养学生对日常生活、社会中的电离辐射有正确的认识，了解并掌握辐射防护和应用的相关知识。课程以课堂讲授为主，并融入专题讨论。讲授内容包括：辐射发展史、辐射来源、辐射防护、辐射对人体和环境的影响等方面的基础知识；辐射在工业、农业、医学诊断和治疗的应用。课堂讨论针对辐射及应用中的社会热点和人们关心的问题，学生组成专题小组，进行调研并形成报告，在课堂上进行答辩，与师生互动，提高对学习的兴趣，加深相关知识的理解。 《Radiation and the application》is a general course of the natural science for the undergraduate other than nuclear engineering. The course aims at improving students' knowledge and acknowledgement about the radiation, shielding, and radiation application. The course consists of two parts, the lecture and the discussion. The former one includes the history of radiation science development, sources of radiation, impact of radiation on human body and environment, the application of radiation in industry, agriculture, and medical therapy. The discussion will focus on social hotspots and people's concerns in radiation and applications. Students do research and reports, interact with teachers. It will deepen understanding of relevant knowledge.
