香港电影研究是当代电影研究与当代文化研究的重要课题。香港电影具有悠久的传统，因其工业、地域、政治、娱乐和类型等因素已成为独特的文化现象。本课程将对香港电影及其依存的香港都市文化作出梳理与分析，旨在勾勒出香港电影的类型化叙事传统与工业化的娱乐传统。作为专题性质的研究和讲授，本课程以知识介绍为纲、课堂讨论为目，试图将电影研究与当代文化研究的一般性方法与学术训练作为教学目的，使得听首者能够初步掌握基本的电影学术修养与分析探讨电影作品与电影现象的基本能力。

The studies of Hong Kong cinema is the important research issue in the contemporary academic fields. Hong Kong film has a long tradition, because of its industry, regional, political, entertainment and factors such as type, it has become a unique cultural phenomenon. This course will introduce Hong Kong films’ pedigree and the context of Hong Kong city culture, In order to draw the outline of the Hong Kong film tradition and its industrialization. As a special properties of the research and teaching, this course introduces knowledge as the key link, guide students to master the understanding methods of analyze a film.
