《插花艺术》属于花卉的应用范畴，是探讨如何运用广义的切花花材，以自然和艺术的眼光，通过艺术构思、剪切和插花造型，创造出活的艺术品的一门应用科学。 《插花艺术》是一门与人民的生活环境和社会环境的美化密切相关的科学，因而也是一门实用的科学。 本课程主要讲授以下内容：插花艺术的概念、范畴、插花艺术的类别、插花艺术的基本知识（包括插花的器具；插花花材的种类及其在插花作品中的作用；花材的采集及选购；花材的保养方法；色彩的基本知识和配色设计的方法）、东方插花艺术、西方插花艺术、现代插花艺术等。实践部分学生观看老师示范插制3种插花花型。 通过本课程的学习，要求1.掌握插花的基本理论知识；2.学会欣赏插花艺术作品；3.学会3种插花花型的插制。 《Flower Arrangement》belongs to practical category of flower. It is a practical science of inquiring into how to utilizing cut flowers, with eyes of natural and art, through artistic design, cutting and flower arrangement mould-making, create living art work. 《Flower Arrangement》 is a science that has close relationship with people’s life environment and social environment, thus it is a practical science. This course mainly explain following contents: introduction of flower arrangement, the classification of arrangement, the basic knowledge of flower arrangement (including utensils, the classification of the flowers and their faction in a flower arrangement works, the collection and choosing of the flowers, the maintenance method of the flowers, the basic knowledge of the color and the method of the color matching design, handling methods of the flowers), oriental flower arrangement, west flower arrangement, modern flower arrangement etc. In part of practices, students will study 2 types of flower arrangement styles with in the direct of teacher. By learning this course, students should 1. understanding the basic knowledge of flower arrangement; 2. learning to appreciate flower arrangement works; 3. learning to make3 types of flower arrangement works.
